About Zoloft
Product Description Zoloft (sertraline hydrochloride) is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant supplied as 50 mg film-coated tablets. Each light blue, oblong tablet is engraved with “ZOLOFT” on one side and “50 mg” on the other. This pack contains 30 film-coated tablets in a blister pack. Sertraline works by increasing serotonin levels in the brain, helping to maintain mental balance. It is FDA-approved for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), and social anxiety disorder (SAD) in adults. Pediatric use is approved for OCD in children aged 6–17 years. Treatment typically starts at 50 mg once daily and may be adjusted up to 200 mg/day based on response. Zoloft should be taken at the same time each day, with or without food.
